How River Run handles local saves, shared results, and website data.

Last updated: 2026-11-06

About this game

River Run is a browser-based, single-player survival game. You can play the current preview without registering or paying. The game does not ask for a name, email address, or payment details to start a round.

Saves on your device

The game stores up to 10 character presets and your latest 100 completed rounds in your browser’s local storage. A saved round includes the character setup, map seed, rules version, completion time, placement, kills, and survival time. A daily challenge also includes its challenge date. The browser also remembers whether you have completed the introductory hints and whether you completed or skipped controls practice. Practice rounds are not saved to your history.

Guest saves stay on this device until you choose to import them into an account. You can view history and delete character presets in the game lobby. Clearing this website’s site data removes local saves and preferences; private browsing or storage restrictions can prevent local saves from persisting.

Optional accounts and cloud saves

If you sign in with Google, we receive the account identifier, name, email address and profile picture needed for login. Password accounts store a password hash. Session cookies keep you signed in. Google handles its own sign-in process under its policies.

For signed-in players, completed rounds are uploaded to the account used at the start of the round. We store the latest 100 completed rounds, up to 10 character presets, and the most recently saved character setup in our Cloudflare-hosted database. This makes saves available on your other devices. The saved fields are described above; unfinished rounds and live game state are not synced. We also keep a browser backup of completed rounds under the account that played them, so you can retry a failed upload. Practice tutorials are excluded.

“My games” lets you view account records, delete presets and explicitly import this browser’s guest saves. Import only saves that belong to you, particularly on shared devices. Deleting a browser backup does not delete its account copy. Presets remain until removed or the account is deleted; older rounds are replaced as the 100-round limit is reached. Contact us using the address below to request deletion of account information and cloud saves. Results are player-reported and are not verified competitive scores.

Challenge links and result cards

Sharing is optional. A challenge link includes the map seed, rules version, character setup, and daily challenge date when applicable. A shared result link also includes the result shown on the card. Anyone who receives a link can read the information it contains and forward it. A downloaded PNG includes your placement, kills, survival time, starting district and weapon, and challenge link.

Shared results are player-reported, not verified leaderboard scores. Links reproduce starting conditions, not a recording of your actions. If you use your device’s share menu or another service to send a link or image, that service handles the copy you send under its own policies.

Website requests and preferences

Your browser requests pages and game resources from this website and its asset host. Hosting and delivery services receive technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time to deliver and protect the service. URLs can include the challenge or result information described above.

Cookies and browser storage can remember your language, appearance, and cookie choices. Depending on the site’s enabled settings, analytics, advertising, or support services may also load and receive page, device, and interaction information. Where a Cookie settings control is shown in the footer, you can revisit your choice there. Browser privacy controls can also restrict cookies and third-party requests. Blocking game resource requests may prevent the game from loading.

Feedback

If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include so we can respond and investigate your report. Do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information. For a game problem, the page URL, browser, device, and a description of what happened are usually enough. Remove any information you do not want to share from screenshots or links.

Updates and contact

We will update this page and its date when the described practices change. For questions about this policy, feedback, or requests concerning information you have sent us, email support@musemate.ai.
